Blood Donation Camp- UC College Aluva

A Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized on November 26 at UC College, Aluva, in association with RCC Thiruvankulam. The camp saw excellent participation, with 50 donors voluntarily donating blood. The programme was conducted in the presence of President Rtn. Mahesh Ramdas, Secretary Rtn. George, Medical Officer from the Blood Centre, General Hospital Ernakulam – Mr. Sali Kurian, and the Principal of UC College, Aluva, Dr. Mini Alice.

Cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) also actively participated and extended their support to the initiative. The dignitaries addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of regular voluntary blood donation and the critical role youth play in supporting healthcare needs. The involvement of NCC cadets added discipline, energy, and effective coordination to the event.

The camp was conducted efficiently with the cooperation of the medical team, college authorities, and volunteers. The successful organization of this camp once again reflected Rotary’s commitment to community service and promoting a culture of voluntary blood donation among young adults.
