Administration Activity Event: Governor’s Official Visit & Charter Night Celebration Date: 16 January Venue: Hotel Park Central, Kaloor Club: Rotary Club of Cochin South The Rotary Club of Cochin South had the privilege of hosting the Governor’s Official Visit (GOV) on 16 January at Hotel Park Central, Kaloor. The occasion was made even more special as the club also celebrated its Charter Night on the same day, marking an important milestone in the club’s journey. The meeting was honoured by the presence of Rtn. Dr. G. N. Ramesh, District Governor, along with Rotary Ann.

Jayasree, First Lady of the District. The club was also privileged to have Rtn. Sudhin Vilangadan, District Director, whose presence added guidance and encouragement to the occasion. The event was further graced by Rtn. CA Thejus P R, District General Secretary; Rtn. Dr. Renju Jose, Assistant Governor; and Rtn. Dr. Satheesh Kumar C S, GGR.

The session commenced with the Secretary’s address, presenting a brief overview of the club’s journey during the current Rotary year. Despite members’ diverse professional commitments, the club has maintained strong vibrancy through regular weekly meetings, engaging fellowship programs, family-oriented events, and meaningful service initiatives. Continuous efforts have been made to keep members connected, motivated, and aligned with Rotary values.

In line with the Honorable District Governor’s theme of Harmony, the club has consciously worked towards fostering harmony both within the club and in the community through its projects and initiatives. A video presentation was then showcased, capturing the spirit, scale, and outcomes of the club’s key service projects undertaken during the year, offering a consolidated view of the club’s work across various avenues of service. As part of the Charter Night celebrations, the club took a moment to honour and recognize its Charter Members, acknowledging their vision, commitment, and foundational role in building the Rotary Club of Cochin South.

Mathew Joseph Following the presentations, the District Governor and district leaders shared their observations, appreciated the club’s structured approach, and offered guidance for enhancing impact and alignment with district priorities. The event concluded with a note of gratitude to Rtn. Mahesh Ramdas, the board of directors, fellow Rotarians, and Annes for their continued support and teamwork. As the club moves into the remaining months of the Rotary year, it looks forward to undertaking more impactful projects aligned with district goals and making the year more meaningful and memorable.

The combined Governor’s Official Visit and Charter Night celebration was a memorable and motivating occasion, reinforcing the club’s commitment to service, fellowship, and harmony.
