Onakkodi Distribution At Kavalashwaram Anganwadi

The Rotary Club of Cochin South organized an Onakkodi distribution program at Kawalashwaram Anganwadi, Thiruvankulam Grama Panchayat, as part of its Onam community outreach initiative. The event was presided over by President Rtn. Mahesh Ramdas, who addressed the gathering and emphasized Rotary’s ongoing commitment to supporting underprivileged communities. Event was inaugurated bySmt Sreelatha Madhusoothanan, standing committee chairperson at Thripunithra Muncipality.

New clothes (Onakkodi) were distributed to children from economically backward families, bringing smiles and festive cheer to the young beneficiaries. The program was conducted in collaboration with local Anganwadi staff and community representatives, ensuring smooth coordination and participation. The initiative beautifully reflected the true spirit of Onam—sharing, caring, and spreading happiness, and stood as another example of Rotary’s dedication to community service and inclusiveness.
